Inslogic is proud to continue its partnership with Athénée Royal d’Esneux, supporting students in their journey toward innovation and creativity. This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to empowering the next generation by providing them with the tools and knowledge essential for success in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world.
Expanding Opportunities with New Materials
To further enrich students' learning experiences, we encourage students to try different types of 3D printing materials. These include PLA Matte, Wood PLA, and Silk PLA Tri-Color, each offering unique properties that broaden the scope of potential projects and encourage experimentation with different designs and applications.
Innovative Light Art with 3D Printing
At Athénée Royal d’Esneux, we partnered with Professor Olivier Laforgeyoung. students are being introduced to the exciting world of creative technology through a unique project that combines 3D printing and laser cutting. Using Inslogic filament, the students 3D printed the base of their light art creations, giving them the freedom to experiment with intricate shapes and structures. Once the base was ready, they turned to laser cutting to shape and personalize a piece of wood, etching their own designs with precision. This innovative approach blends modern fabrication techniques, allowing students to express their creativity in ways traditional methods can’t match.
The purpose of this project is to inspire students to explore the full potential of combining various tools and technologies to bring their ideas to life. By utilizing both 3D printing and laser cutting, the students not only gain valuable hands-on experience with advanced tools but also learn the power of integrating different processes in their creative work. This initiative encourages them to push boundaries and discover the limitless possibilities of design, fostering a mindset of innovation and a passion for creating more with the tools at their disposal.
Fostering Practical Skills
Encouraging young students to learn and embrace 3D printing technology fosters a range of essential skills that will prepare them for future success. Through hands-on experience, students gain material understanding, technical expertise, and creative problem-solving abilities, all while refining their design innovation.
- Material Understanding: Gaining knowledge about the properties and uses of various 3D printing materials.
- Technical Expertise: Refining the ability to adapt printer settings for different materials and project requirements.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Overcoming challenges through iterative design and practical adjustments.
-
Design Innovation: Exploring the possibilities of new materials to create unique and functional projects.
Setting students up for success with 3D printing
Inslogic and Athénée Royal d’Esneux share a strong commitment to preparing students for the future through the STEAM programs. Introducing children to 3D printing at an early stage sets the foundation for long-term benefits, giving them a head start in mastering valuable skills for the future. By collaborating, we empower students to develop both technical skills and creative thinking, promoting a well-rounded education that prepares them to succeed in an ever-changing world.
